Job summary

The Far West Local Health District is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator for a temporary full-time 3-month contract in Broken Hill. Remuneration is $62.68-$64.71 per hour plus superannuation, with 38 hours per week.

Incentives include an annual recruitment package up to $10,000 under NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme, and a supportive team focused on patient experience in rural health.

Job description

This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro-rata'd to your contracted or ordinary working hours, these payments are paid on a fortnightly basis) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.

This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate clinical education programs to support ongoing professional clinical development of nursing and midwifery staff to maintain quality care outcomes for patients and clients.
• Nurse Educators are highly valued and vital positions within the Far West LHD as they ensure our patients receive exceptional levels of care by advancing the skills of our staff.
• Our ideal candidate will have vast clinical experience and tertiary qualifications in education and training.
