Job summary

UnitingCare Health’s St Stephens Hospital in Hervey Bay is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator for a full-time maximum-term contract of 3 months with extension potential. The role focuses on planning, delivering, and evaluating education to support clinicians in evidence-based, patient-centered care.

You will require more than 3 years clinical experience in acute hospital settings, and qualifications in workplace training (Certificate IV) or postgraduate education.

Qualifications

• Significant clinical experience with greater than 3 years in an acute hospital setting.
• Certificate IV workplace training and assessment or postgraduate education qualifications.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of NSQHSS, Qld Health Clinical Services Capability Framework training requirements and other industry standards.
• Experience in development, delivery and evaluation of education programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, development, design, delivery, evaluation and improvement of education within allocated departments to support evidence-based, patient-focused services.
• Ensure educational outcomes within organisational constraints and align with Nursing Division needs.
• Report to the Regional Education Manager on delivery of clinical education.
