Job summary

UnitingCare Health's St Stephens Hospital seeks a Clinical Nurse Educator to coordinate planning, development, design, delivery, evaluation and improvement of education within their department portfolio. You will support clinicians with evidence‑based, patient‑centred services and collaborate with the Nursing Division to meet education needs.

The role reports to the Regional Education Manager. Significant acute‑care experience and teaching qualifications are essential; ALS/PALS competence is

Qualifications

• Significant clinical experience (>3 years) in an acute hospital setting.
• Qualifications in education: Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment or PG qualifications.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of NSQHSS and Qld Health frameworks and standards.
• Experience in development, delivery and evaluation of education programs; knowledge of educational models.
• Instructor competency for ALS/PALS desirable.
• Willingness to obtain vaccinations and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, design, deliver, evaluate and improve education within allocated departments.
• Support clinicians with evidence‑based, patient‑centred education services.
• Ensure educational outcomes meet organisational needs within resources.
• Collaborate with the Nursing Division and report to Regional Education Manager.
