Job summary

The Far West Local Health District is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator for a Temporary Full Time role in Broken Hill until 4 December 2026. The position offers an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to $10,000 and remuneration of $62.68–$64.71 per hour plus Superannuation.

You will assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate clinical education programs, mentoring nursing staff and advancing education with mandatory AHPRA registration and a Workplace Trainer certificate, plus ongoing

Qualifications

  • Current nursing/midwifery registration with AHPRA.
  • Current Certificate as Workplace Trainer and Assessor (Certificate IV) or willingness to obtain within 12 months of commencement.
  • Three years' experience as a Registered Nurse providing preceptorship and mentoring to clinicians using adult learning principles and facilitation skills.
  • Credentialed as an Advanced Life Support Instructor, or willingness to obtain within 12 months of commencement of position.
  • Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, advanced computer skills and use of software programs to develop and deliver education.
  • Eligibility to drive in NSW and preparedness to travel across rural and remote areas.

Job description

This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro-rata’d to your contracted or ordinary working hours, these payments are paid on a fortnightly basis) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.

This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.

Remuneration: $62.68 - $64.71 per hour + Superannuation
