Job summary

Palm Lake Care Mount Warren Park is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our clinical leadership team on a full-time basis from Monday to Friday. You’ll work closely with the Clinical Manager to ensure the highest standards of clinical care are delivered every day.

This role leads and mentors Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Assistants, oversees resident assessments and care planning, supports audits and quality improvement, and upholds infection control and governance across the home.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing with APHRA registration.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a senior nursing role within Residential Aged Care.
• Gerontology Certificate / Diploma or willingness to undertake same.
• Excellent clinical assessment, leadership, and mentoring skills.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and respond to deteriorating residents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents, families, and health professionals.
• Current National Police Check and valid C-Class Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Promoting excellence in infection control and clinical governance.
• Assisting with staff education, onboarding, and performance support.
• Ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Code of Conduct, Aged Care Quality Standards, and Charter of Rights.
• Participating in continuous improvement and clinical meetings to enhance resident outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this leadership role, you will bring:

• Strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
• Gerontology Certificate / Diploma or willingness to undertake same
• Excellent clinical assessment, leadership, and mentoring skills
• Demonstrated ability to identify and respond to deteriorating residents
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents, families, and health professionals
• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement
• Current National Police Check and valid C-Class Driver’s Licence
