Job summary

Lutheran Services Australia is seeking a Clinical Manager in Toowoomba to provide strong clinical leadership and mentorship to a multidisciplinary care team, driving excellence in medication management, care planning, clinical governance, and resident outcomes.

You will lead person-centred care planning, oversee governance, quality, IPC and risk management, ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and the Aged Care Act 2024, and manage Direct Care Minutes, AN-ACC funding, rosters,

Qualifications

• Nursing qualification with current AHPRA registration.
• Clinical leadership experience in Residential Aged Care and leading clinical teams.
• Capability in clinical governance, audits and risk management.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, AN-ACC funding, Direct Care Minutes, and Aged Care Act 2024.
• Experience overseeing AN-ACC assessments, care planning and clinical documentation.

About The Role

As Clinical Manager, You'll provide strong clinical leadership and mentorship to a multidisciplinary care team, driving excellence in medication management, care planning, clinical governance, and resident outcomes reporting to the Service Manager.

• Lead person-centred care planning and delivery


• Oversee clinical governance, quality, IPC and risk management


• Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and Aged Care Act 2024


• Manage Direct Care Minutes and oversee AN-ACC funding applications


• Lead, coach and mentor clinical/care staff; manage rosters and performance


• Manage clinical budget and supplies

About You

• Nursing qualification with current AHPRA registration


• Clinical leadership experience in Residential Aged Care and experience leading clinical teams.


• Demonstrated capability in clinical governance, including quality systems, audits and risk management


• In-depth knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards, AN-ACC funding model, Direct Care Minutes, & regulatory requirements under the Aged Care Act 2024


• Experience overseeing AN-ACC assessments, care planning and clinical documentation


• High-level clinical assessment, reasoning and decision-making skills for residents with complex needs


• Experience in workforce planning, rostering and resource management aligned to resident acuity

Desirable

• Postgraduate qualification or IPC Lead certification


• Budget management experience


• QLD Driver's Licence
