Job summary

Barwon Health is seeking a Technical Officer to deliver ICT support for therapeutic, diagnostic and life‑support biomedical equipment, ensuring quality and service delivery across the department and hospital.

You will manage and maintain mobile devices, nurse call systems, duress alarms and audiovisual systems, while providing technical advice to clinical staff and coordinating maintenance and upgrades in a busy regional health service in Victoria.

Qualifications

• Diploma in IT or relevant certification.
• Experience as IT support/technical officer.
• Strong knowledge in IT networking, system administration and equipment management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, training and deployment of clinical IT systems, hardware, software, servers and network infrastructure.
• Manage telecommunications services and equipment, including mobile devices, nurse call systems, duress alarms, audiovisual systems and videoconferencing, coordinating upgrades and vendor projects.
• Perform and coordinate corrective and preventative maintenance of clinical equipment, ensuring safety, performance, compliance with Australian Standards and accurate maintenance records.
• Maintain equipment registers, quality assurance and information security requirements, provide technical advice to clinical staff, and comply with Barwon Health’s OHS policies and procedures.
