Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent, registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Fellowship of Australasian Specialist College or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia.

Responsibilities

• Provide an expert, timely consultative service for health professionals on clinical and organisational ethics concerns.
• Support and enable senior clinicians to practice at the top of their capabilities when managing ethical complexities.
• Promote better patient outcomes through enhanced decision-making.
• Build capacity in ethical analysis and decision-making amongst district health professionals through outreach education and training.
• Promote a culture of ethical enquiry as an integral part of health care delivery within the district.
• Contribute to teaching and training of medical students, graduates and other health care professionals and to research, evaluation and quality improvement activities.
