This is an ideal opportunity for a senior radiologist seeking a meaningful leadership role with strong executive support and the ability to influence service delivery across a large regional network.
The Medical Imaging Department delivers a comprehensive range of services including:
- General Radiography
- Computed Tomography (CT)
- Ultrasound
- Interventional Radiology
- Fluoroscopy
- Cardiac Catheter Laboratory
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Theatre Imaging Services
The service also provides remote rural reporting across Mackay HHS sites including:
- Proserpine
- Bowen
- Moranbah
- Radiologists
- Radiographers
- Sonographers
- Nursing staff
- Administration teams
- Chief Radiographer
- Service Manager (Operations)
The role is professionally supported by the Chief Medical Officer and operationally supported by the Executive Director Allied Health & Clinical Support Services.
The department is also a Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists accredited training site within the Queensland Radiology Training Network, with rotating trainee registrars and strong teaching involvement.
