Job summary

Knox Private Hospital is seeking a detail‑oriented Clinical Coding Support Officer to provide essential administrative and reception support to the Clinical Coding Department. You will work closely with experienced Clinical Coders to ensure accurate patient information management and efficient departmental workflows.

You will join a collaborative team where organisation and precision are highly valued, supporting high-quality patient care in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in medical records, healthcare administration or a similar role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience using WebPAS.
  • Knowledge of pathology databases or healthcare information systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Clinical Coding team, including data entry and document management.
  • Manage reception duties and respond to incoming enquiries for the Clinical Coding Department.
  • Maintain patient records and files with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with the management of medical records using WebPAS and pathology databases.
  • Prepare reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
  • Liaise with various hospital departments to support effective communication and workflow.
  • Perform general office administration including filing, scanning and document control.

About the Role

As a Clinical Coding Support Officer, you will provide essential administrative and reception support to our Clinical Coding Department. Working closely with a team of experienced Clinical Coders, you will help ensure the smooth management of patient information, support departmental workflows and contribute to the hospital's commitment to outstanding patient care.

You'll be part of a supportive and collaborative team where your organisational skills and attention to detail will be highly valued.
