Job summary

Townsville Hospital and Health Service is seeking an experienced Clinical Coder to join the Clinical Coding Unit. The role focuses on accurate abstraction of data from ieMR and other sources, coding inpatient episodes in line with Australian Coding Standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Health Information Management or Diploma in Clinical Coding is required.
• Experience with inpatient coding and ieMR is essential.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient episodes accurately using Australian Coding Standards.
• Abstract relevant information from the medical record to assign correct codes.
• Ensure timely and accurate data for reporting and funding purposes.
