Job summary

Respect is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join McLean Gardens in Inverell, NSW as a full-time Care Coordinator. You will drive clinical governance, improve care outcomes and ensure compliance while leading a team of nurses and care staff.

You will coordinate resident care plans, perform clinical assessments, support admissions and collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality aged care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in residential aged care is required.
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation and nursing practices.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams is essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and clinical information systems.
• Experience in clinical leadership and knowledge of aged care accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and review person-centred resident care plans.
• Complete clinical assessments and respond to changes in residents’ needs.
• Support admissions and ensure new residents are appropriately assessed.
• Work with residents, families and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain high standards of clinical documentation.
• Provide and support direct nursing care when required.
• Monitor wounds, falls and clinical risk.
• Support medication management, infection control and audits.
• Assist with investigation and close-out of clinical incidents.
• Guide, support and develop nurses and care staff.
• Support staff orientation, competency assessment and education.
• Promote best-practice care and strong clinical governance.
