Bluestone Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our client’s growing consultancy in Sydney. You will own projects from early planning through to construction, ensuring delivery on time and within budget while managing client expectations.

You will collaborate with developers, investors and asset owners, taking ownership of projects and guiding multidisciplinary teams to successful outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in project management within the construction, property or development sector.
  • Experience managing projects from inception through to completion.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, contracts, programmes and project costs.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects through the full lifecycle from feasibility to completion.
  • Act as primary client contact and coordinate key stakeholders.
  • Manage budgets, programmes, procurement strategies and delivery requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate consultants, contractors and project teams.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage variations, commercial issues and other project-related matters.
  • Prepare project reports and provide commercially focused advice to clients.
  • Attend site meetings and monitor construction progress to keep projects on track.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and contribute to the business growth.

Our client is an established and growing project management consultancy providing client-side project management and development advisory services across the Australian market. Working across a range of sectors and project types, they partner with developers, investors, asset owners and other key stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who enjoys working closely with clients, taking ownership of projects and being involved across the full project lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, build strong client relationships and take on increasing responsibility as the business continues to grow.

About the Role

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of projects on behalf of clients, from early planning and design through to construction and completion.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing projects throughout the full lifecycle, from feasibility and planning through to completion.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and coordinating key project stakeholders.
  • Managing project budgets, programmes, procurement strategies and delivery requirements.
  • Leading and coordinating consultants, contractors and project teams.
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying risks and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Managing variations, commercial issues and other project-related matters.
  • Preparing project reports and providing clear, commercially focused advice to clients.
  • Attending site meetings and monitoring construction progress to ensure projects remain on track.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
Experience Required
  • 2+ years' experience in project management within the construction, property or development sector.
  • Previous client-side or consultancy experience is highly regarded.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Property, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects from inception through to completion.
  • Strong understanding of construction, procurement, contracts, programmes and project costs.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and manage project risks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to deal directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
