Forefront Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a major data centre project in Melbourne. The role is client-side, focusing on civil works, foundations and structure, with on‑site responsibility for monitoring programme, quality and delivery.

You will have led large packages and managed interfaces with head contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders. Salary ranges from AUD 150k to AUD 175k plus super and a bonus, reflecting seniority and project scale.

Qualifications

• Solid large‑project background on major commercial, infrastructure, industrial, defence or data centre projects.
• Experience reviewing methodology, programme and look‑ahead plans.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management on site.

Responsibilities

• Review construction methodology and short-term look‑aheads.
• Coordinate design and trade interfaces with consultants and builders.
• Monitor inspections, quality documentation and site risks.
• Track RFIs, hold points, defects and closeout information.
• Represent the client on site and ensure delivery remains accountable to schedule.
