Job summary

Nexia Australia is a leading Chartered Accounting and consultancy firm with a Melbourne CBD office. The Client Service Coordinator/Administrator role supports tax administration processes and provides essential admin support to the Business Advisory and Shared Services teams.

As part of the Shared Services group, you will cover reception relief, assist Corporate Secretarial duties, and maintain client databases while working in a flexible/hybrid environment that fosters learning and career

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 months experience in a public practice/accounting firm environment.
  • Familiarity with tax administration processes and dealing with the ATO.
  • Experience in a front of house/Reception role advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake tax administration processes (collations, NOAs, lodgements, etc) and provide admin support to the Business Advisory and Shared Services teams.
  • Serve as go-to person for reception relief and overflow support to Executive Assistants including Corporate Secretarial duties and client database maintenance.
  • Communicate with the ATO/ASIC as required.

About the Role

The Client Service Coordinator/Administrator will be responsible for undertaking tax administration processes (collations, NOAs, lodgements, etc) and providing administrative support to the Business Advisory and Shared Services teams. As a key member of the Shared Services team, you will be the go-to person for reception relief, providing overflow support to the Executive Assistants including Corporate Secretarial duties, client database maintenance, and speaking to the ATO/ASIC as required. Selection Criteria
  • Minimum 12 months experience in a public practice/accounting firm environment with an interest in building a career in business administration;
  • Process-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset;
  • Familiarity with tax administration processes and dealing with the ATO;
  • Experience in a front of house/Reception role (answering and directing calls, greeting clients, etc) advantageous;
  • A positive, can-do, and hard-working attitude;
  • Great organisational and time management skills;
  • Strong communicator who can express themselves confidently in writing and verbally;
  • Tech-savvy and able to pick up new systems quickly (APS, ATO Portal, cloud accounting systems beneficial);
  • Experienced in MS Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word);
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete an online general ability assessment and National Police Check.
