Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in business, accounting, economics or law, or equivalent experience
• Around 5 years in financial services, including 3+ years in financial operations
• Strong client and relationship management experience
• Strong knowledge of managed funds operations: custody, fund administration, registry, audit and investment operations
• Ability to organise priorities and deliver under time pressure
• Confident in handling challenging client conversations

Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships and lead regular client meetings
• Coordinate onboarding of new trusts and offboarding winding up
• Review transaction documents, deeds and agreements before execution
• Oversee regulatory obligations including year-end financial statements, tax returns and annual distributions
• Monitor service providers and maintain compliance information in Client Connect
• Present to Board/Compliance Committee and escalate concerns
• Manage billing, accruals and debtor positions to improve portfolio profitability

Client Manager, Wholesale Trustee - Perpetual Corporate Trust

About the Role

Join Perpetual Corporate Trust's broader Managed Funds Services business. Manage a portfolio of wholesale trustee clients, supporting their relationship, operational and regulatory needs as part of the Wholesale Trustee team.

You will work closely with clients, internal specialists and external service providers to support strong client outcomes, retention and revenue growth. You will also help the business improve the scalability and profitability of its client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage client relationships, maintain relationship plans and lead regular client meetings
• Coordinate the onboarding of new business and the offboarding of trusts that are winding up
• Review transaction documents, deeds and agreements before execution
• Oversee regulatory obligations, including year-end financial statements, tax returns and annual distributions
• Monitor service providers and maintain compliance information through the Client Connect system
• Present at Board and Compliance Committee meetings when required and escal­ate legal or regulatory concerns
• Manage billing, accruals and debtor positions while identifying opportunities to improve portfolio profitability.

About you

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

• A tertiary qualification, ideally in business, accounting, economics or law, or equivalent relevant experience
• Around 5 years of experience in financial services, including at least 3 years in financial operations
• Strong client and relationship management experience
• Strong knowledge of managed funds operations, including custody, fund administration, registry, audit and investment operations
• Strong process management skills and close attention to regulatory obligationsThe ability to organise competing priorities and deliver accurately under time pressure
• Confidence handling challenging client conversations and negotiating with counterparties
• A practical, flexible and collaborative approach when working with internal teams and external providers.
