Job summary

Rezonate Recruitment is helping a well-established Sydney public practice recruit an Intermediate Accountant with 2–4 years’ Australian experience. This is a client-facing role that blends technical accounting with advisory work and strong client relationships.

You’ll prepare financial statements and tax returns, manage ongoing client communications, and work with Managers and Partners on advisory projects, tax planning and growth initiatives, supporting a long-term career in public practice.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in Australian public practice
• Strong experience preparing financial statements and tax returns
• Confidence dealing directly with clients and building rapport
• Proactive approach and the ability to take ownership of your work
• Genuine interest in developing technical and advisory skillset
• CA/CPA commenced, or intention to commence

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for a diverse range of clients
• Manage day-to-day client communication and build strong relationships
• Work with SMEs, family groups and high-net-worth individuals
• Assist with tax planning and broader business advisory work
• Work closely with Managers and Partners across engagements
• Take increasing ownership of your work as experience develops
