Jobbeschreibung

People person? Problem solver? Master multitasker? We want YOU!

Are you someone who thrives on variety, loves working with people and gets a little satisfaction from turning chaos into organisation?

Do you enjoy a role where no two days are the same, your phone is rarely quiet, and you get to make a genuine difference in people’s lives?

Responsive Support Solutions is looking for a dynamic, motivated and highly organised Client Engagement Officer to join our Townsville team.

This isn’t your typical sit-behind-a-desk, do-the-same-thing-every-day position. It’s a busy, multifaceted role where you’ll wear several hats, juggle competing priorities and play an integral part in ensuring our clients receive exceptional disability support services.

We’re looking for someone who can think on their feet, build great relationships, take ownership and bring positive energy to a busy team.

What will you actually be doing?

A bit of everything! That’s what makes this role interesting.

You’ll be the connection between our clients, their families, our Disability Support Workers and the wider community.

Your days will involve:

  • Client engagement: Building meaningful relationships with clients and families, understanding their individual needs and ensuring they feel heard, valued and supported.
  • Support Worker supervision: Providing guidance, oversight and support to our Disability Support Workers, addressing concerns and maintaining high service standards.
  • Service coordination: Helping ensure clients receive the right supports, identifying gaps and working collaboratively to resolve challenges.
  • Problem-solving: Managing the unexpected, responding to enquiries and finding solutions when things don’t quite go to plan.
  • Community engagement: Building relationships with stakeholders, promoting our services and identifying opportunities to strengthen community connections.
  • Events and activities: Supporting the coordination of client engagement activities, events and initiatives.
  • Compliance and documentation: Maintaining accurate client records, completing assessments and ensuring services align with NDIS requirements and organisational policies.
  • Continuous improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve the way we do things and contributing ideas that make a difference.

You’ll also participate in an after-hours on-call arrangement, so flexibility and the ability to remain calm under pressure are important.

Sound busy? It is! But if you’re the right person, that’s exactly what you’ll love about it.

Who are we looking for?

We’re not necessarily looking for someone with the fanciest qualification or the longest list of certificates.

We’re looking for someone with the right experience, attitude and ability to get things done.

You might currently work in disability services, community services, client coordination, team leadership or another fast-paced, people-focused environment.

What matters most is that you can bring:

  • Experience working in the disability, community services or a similar client-focused sector.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Confidence in handling challenging conversations and resolving problems professionally.
  • A proactive approach – you’re someone who sees what needs doing and gets on with it.
  • Great attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of accurate documentation.
  • Confidence using technology, Microsoft Office and client management systems.
  • A genuine commitment to providing quality, person-centred services.
  • A sense of humour, a positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a busy team.

Qualifications? Great if you have them, but they’re not essential!

We value hands‑on experience, practical knowledge and demonstrated ability just as much as formal education. If you’ve got the relevant experience and can show us what you bring to the table, we want to hear from you.

Why join Responsive Support Solutions?
  • We believe great services start with great people.
  • This is an opportunity to join a role where you can genuinely contribute, develop your skills and be involved in multiple aspects of the business.
  • A diverse and engaging position with plenty of variety.
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disabilities.
  • A collaborative, people‑focused working environment.
  • Opportunities to develop your skills across client engagement, service coordination and team leadership.
  • A position where your initiative, ideas and contributions matter.
A little reality check…

This is not a quiet administrative role.

There will be busy days, competing deadlines, unexpected challenges and moments where you’ll need to change direction quickly.

You’ll need to be comfortable balancing client needs, supporting staff, managing documentation, answering enquiries and keeping multiple moving parts on track.

But if you love being busy, enjoy a challenge and get satisfaction from making things happen, you could be exactly who we’re looking for!

Ready to jump in?

If you’re an energetic, capable and people‑focused individual who wants more than just another job, we’d love to hear from you.

At Responsive Support Solutions, we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace.

Come for the opportunity. Stay for the variety. Make a difference every day.
