Job summary

Claro Disability Services in South Australia supports people with complex needs to live more independent and confident lives. This role focuses on person-centered care, mobility assistance, daily tasks, medical supports, and community participation.

You will collaborate with families and clinicians, advocate for client goals, respect culture and consent, and adapt to changing needs with empathy and professionalism. Flexible shifts and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be warm, patient and genuinely caring.
• Experience in complex care or disability preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Flexible with shifts and availability.

Responsibilities

• Person-centered planning: chat with client and family/advocates to understand goals and routines.
• Complex physical care: mobility support, transfers, positioning, daily tasks and devices as outlined in the plan.
• Medical supports: observe changes, follow clinical plans, liaise with care team.
• Social time and participation: facilitate activities aligned with client interests.
• Autonomy and advocacy: support decision-making, respect consent, promote independence.
• Cultural humility: respect backgrounds, beliefs and ways of being.
