Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting Ltd. is seeking a capable bookkeeper and management accountant to support a diverse SME client base. You will work across a variety of industries and handle multiple clients with precision.

You’ll work with Xero, Sage and QuickBooks, manage VAT returns, and help implement systems while delivering trusted business advice to help clients grow and optimize their processes.

Qualifications

• Strong bookkeeping experience across varied SMEs.
• Proficient in VAT return preparation for diverse client base.
• Experience delivering management accounts and insights.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to act as trusted advisor to clients.
• Ability to guide clients on systems and process improvements.
• Experience with implementing or training on accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping and VAT return preparation for SME clients.
• Prepare and review management accounts and KPIs.
• Advise clients on financial systems and best practices.
• Assist with system implementations and user training.
• Build strong client relationships and provide proactive financial guidance.

I’m working with a friendly and successful firm of accountants, who have experienced strong demand for their bookkeeping and management accounting services over recent times. As a consequence they need to recruit another specialist to join this team.

You will be well versed in all aspects of bookkeeping, VAT return preparation and management accounting for a varied client base, and you will need to have the confidence and interpersonal skills to become a trusted business advisor to your SME clients.

Strong systems experience is a must, as you will work on a daily basis on a variety of packages to include Xero, Sage and QuickBooks. You will also assist with systems implementations, training and advising your clients on systems best practice.
