Job summary

RSL LifeCare is seeking a Cleaning Assistant to support our Residential Care teams in Merimbula. You will help maintain clean resident areas, manage supplies, and ensure safe handling of cleaning chemicals in a compassionate, collaborative environment.

The role is part-time and contributes to the comfort and safety of residents while aligning with our not-for-profit values and long-standing service in veterans and seniors' care.

Qualifications

• Mandatory Police Check or NDIS check for aged care roles.

Responsibilities

• Adherence to general cleaning schedule ensuring areas are clean and maintained.
• Check and replenish supplies (soap, towels, toilet paper).
• Inspect cleaning chemicals and refill as required.
• Spot clean spills.
• Ensure safe handling and use of chemicals.
• Follow WHS policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe work environment and protect others' health.

Key Responsibilities

• Adherence to general cleaning schedule ensuring all areas area maintained at an acceptable level of cleanliness.
• Check and replenish supplies such as liquid soap, paper towels, toilet paper etc.
• Check supply of cleaning chemicals and fill containers as required.
• Spot clean spills
• Ensure safe handling and use of chemicals.
• Comply with relevant RSL LifeCare WHS policies, procedures, and reasonable instruction.
• Maintain a safe work environment and take reasonable care for others' health and safety (including visitors, Community members, team members and contractors)
