Job summary

RSL LifeCare invites applications for a Cleaning Assistant in our Residential Care setting in Penrith, NSW. This casual, part-time role supports our residents by maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment in line with our high standards of care.

You will work within our supportive team, with duties including restocking supplies, safe chemical handling and adherence to cleaning schedules. A focus on empathy, effective communication and teamwork will help ensure positive resident

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the cleaning schedule, keeping all areas clean to an acceptable standard.
• Check and restock supplies such as soap, towels and toilet paper.
• Monitor and handle cleaning chemicals safely and correctly.
• Spot clean spills as they occur and maintain a tidy environment.
• Comply with WHS policies and instructions; ensure a safe workplace for residents, visitors and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Adherence to general cleaning schedule ensuring all areas area maintained at an acceptable level of cleanliness.
• Check and replenish supplies such as liquid soap, paper towels, toilet paper etc.
• Check supply of cleaning chemicals and fill containers as required.
• Spot clean spills
• Ensure safe handling and use of chemicals.
• Comply with relevant RSL LifeCare WHS policies, procedures, and reasonable instruction.
• Maintain a safe work environment and take reasonable care for others' health and safety(including visitors, Community members, team members and contractors).
