Responsibilities

• Perform internal cleaning duties including daily cleaning, sanitising, stocking and maintenance of toilet facilities.
• Clean external areas including verandas, rubbish removal and window cleaning.
• Complete vacation cleaning duties such as stripping and sealing vinyl floors and shampooing carpets.
• Follow Fundamentals of Cleaning Guidelines and maintain gymnasium floors as required.

Job description

This is a permanent part-time (0.6 FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2027.

Our mission is to develop students' cognitive, social and physical skills so they can develop balanced attitudes to life, make sound judgements, enjoy a full range of social and cultural activities, maximise their employment opportunities and participate as responsible members of society.

Situated in the Esperance District, Lake King is predominantly a farming area in the Shire of Lake Grace. It lies 45kms south of the town of Varley, 70kms north of Ravensthorpe town site, 65kms east of Newdegate, 265kms north-west of Esperance and 468kms south-east of Perth.

The school currently caters for children with both physical and learning difficulties and general primary classes ranging from kindergarten to year six. The Role

The successful applicant will carry out internal cleaning duties, including the day-to-day cleaning, sanitising, stocking and maintenance of toilet facilities, maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal, and other items of general cleaning whilst performing external cleaning duties, including the cleaning of verandas and covered areas, rubbish removal, cleaning of drinking troughs, window cleaning, removal of cobwebs, and other general cleaning. The successful applicant will complete vacation cleaning duties, including the stripping and sealing of vinyl floors, window cleaning, shampooing of carpets, pressure cleaning of verandas and undercover areas, maintenance of gymnasium floors, and other such duties as required in the Fundamentals of Cleaning Guidelines.
