Job summary

Torquay State School, part of the Queensland Department of Education, is seeking a motivated cleaner to join our team in a permanent part-time capacity (0.42FTE), 32 hours per fortnight. We value teamwork, clear communication and attention to detail as we support a welcoming school community.

Responsibilities include cleaning a range of facilities, sanitising toilets, maintaining equipment and performing routine housekeeping duties. A collaborative, supportive work environment is offered.

Responsibilities

• Clean windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors and cupboards.
• Clean and sanitise toilet facilities and sick bays.
• Clean and maintain equipment.
• Cobweb and mildew control using extendable equipment.
• Clean concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces.
• Carry out general cleaning duties including rubbish, dusting, vacuuming and ongoing floor maintenance.
