Job summary

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine cleaning and sanitising of school facilities, including windows, toilets, sick bays, sinks, drinking fountains, furniture and office areas, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment.
• Maintain floors and surrounding outdoor areas through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, hosing, buffing and polishing, as well as removing litter, graffiti, cobwebs and mildew.
• Clean and maintain cleaning equipment, dispose of waste appropriately, and keep drains and gutters around school buildings clear of debris.
• Assist with school security by locking and unlocking buildings and operating security systems as required.
• Communicate with the Principal or Business Manager regarding cleaning supply needs, and promptly report security issues, hazards, damage or maintenance concerns to the appropriate school personnel.
