Job summary

White Prince Mushrooms in Australia is seeking a reliable Hygiene Team Member to join our sanitation team. You will clean and sanitise production areas and equipment after daily production, ensuring readiness for the next day’s operations.

Duties include cleaning equipment, floors, drains, and amenities; sanitising High Care areas; safely using cleaning chemicals; completing records; reporting concerns; and assisting with deep cleans while following food safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience, especially in food manufacturing.
• Strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work safely around chemicals and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Physical fitness for manual cleaning in cold and wet environments.
• Experience in food manufacturing or High Care environments is valued.
• Food safety or Hygiene training is advantageous.
• Familiarity with chemical handling and cleaning equipment is helpful.

Responsibilities

We're currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Hygiene Team Member to join our sanitation team. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness throughout our production facility.

About the Role

Working after daily production has finished, you'll be responsible for cleaning and sanitising production areas and equipment to ensure they're ready for the next day's operations.

Your duties will include:

Cleaning production equipment, floors, drains, walls and amenities

Sanitising High Care production areas following strict hygiene procedures

Using cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with instructions

Completing cleaning records and checklists

Reporting hygiene or food safety concerns

Assisting with scheduled deep cleans

Following all Workplace Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures

About You

To be successful in this role you'll have:

Previous cleaning experience (food manufacturing is highly regarded)

A strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail

The ability to work safely around chemicals and cleaning equipment

The ability to work independently and within a team

Reliable attendance and punctuality

Physical fitness to perform manual cleaning duties in cold and wet environments

Experience with any of the following will be highly regarded:

Food manufacturing or food processing

High Care or hygiene-controlled environments

Food Safety or Hygiene training

Chemical handling

Pressure washers, foaming equipment or floor scrubbers
