Job summary

Respect Aged Care is seeking casual Cleaning Services Assistants for Mitchell House in Morwell, VIC. The role focuses on creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff within a not-for-profit aged care setting.

As part of a dedicated team, you will follow cleaning schedules, handle laundry duties when needed, and contribute to infection prevention practices. Eligibility includes a police check, driver’s licence, chemical handling know-how, and compliance

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience or relevant training.
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Knowledge and experience in the safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Previous experience in residential aged care is desirable.
• Understanding of infection control principles and workplace safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• To be considered for employment with Respect, all candidates must satisfy the legislative requirements of the Aged Care Worker Screening process.

• Mopping, vacuuming, floor polishing, carpet cleaning, dusting, waste management, and restocking supplies.

• Contribute to a safe environment by ensuring cleaning equipment does not obstruct exits or walkways.
