Job summary

Malanda State High School is seeking a dedicated cleaner to support cleanliness across classrooms and facilities in a welcoming educational environment in Queensland, Australia. You will perform cleaning tasks across indoor and outdoor areas, contribute to a tidy learning atmosphere, and assist with basic security duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality cleaning services across classrooms, amenities and other school facilities in line with the approved school cleaning programme.
• Clean and maintain equipment, remove rubbish and complete outdoor cleaning duties to ensure a safe, hygienic and tidy environment for students, staff and visitors.
• Maintain the cleanliness of school buildings and surrounding areas, supporting a welcoming and well-presented learning environment.
• Assist with school security by locking/unlocking buildings and activating or disarming security systems as required.
• Report safety, security and maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel and liaise regarding the supply and replacement of cleaning materials.
• Work split shifts to meet the operational cleaning requirements of the school.
