Job summary

Queensland Department of Education – Malanda State High School in Malanda is seeking a dedicated cleaner to deliver high-quality cleaning across classrooms, amenities and facilities in line with the approved school cleaning programme.

You will maintain clean, safe, and welcoming learning spaces, assist with security by locking/unlocking buildings and activating security systems, and report safety or maintenance concerns as required. A current Working with Children Check (blue card) is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Blue card/Working with Children Check is mandatory as part of the recruitment process.
• Experience with school cleaning operations is preferred.

• Clean and maintain equipment, remove rubbish and complete outdoor cleaning tasks.

• Work split shifts to meet the school's operational cleaning requirements.

• Deliver high-quality cleaning services across classrooms, amenities and other school facilities in line with the approved school cleaning programme.
• Clean and maintain equipment, remove rubbish and complete outdoor cleaning duties to ensure a safe, hygienic and tidy environment for students, staff and visitors.
• Maintain the cleanliness of school buildings and surrounding areas, supporting a welcoming and well-presented learning environment.
• Assist with school security by locking and unlocking buildings and activating or disarming security systems as required.
• Report safety, security and maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel and liaise regarding the supply and replacement of cleaning materials.
• Work split shifts to meet the operational cleaning requirements of the school.
