Job summary

Ascot State School in Brisbane is seeking a dedicated cleaner to keep classrooms, hallways and facilities safe and inviting. This on-site role involves cleaning duties across indoor and outdoor areas, with emphasis on hygiene and order.

You will work under the supervision of the Business Manager and contribute to a supportive learning environment by maintaining floors, surfaces and equipment to high standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean windows, doors, cupboards, fixtures, fittings, sinks and drinking fountains.
• Clean and sanitise toilet facilities and sick bays, and maintain cleaning equipment.
• Control cobwebs and mildew, dust furniture and equipment, and hose, sweep and vacuum areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of indoor and outdoor areas, including paved surfaces, drains and gutters.
• Buff, strip and polish vinyl and timber floors and perform other cleaning duties as directed by the Principal.

• Maintain vinyl and timber floors through buffing, stripping and polishing, and perform other appropriate cleaning duties as directed by the Principal or Business Manager.
