Job summary

Oaks Sydney Castlereagh Suites is hiring for several casual housekeeping roles. You will contribute to maintaining high room cleanliness, ensuring guest satisfaction, and working as part of a committed team on an on-site basis in Sydney.

Shifts are scheduled across various days with early starts. Prior housekeeping experience and a proactive attitude are valued, with training provided for safety and product use. Competitive hourly rates apply, with opportunities for growth and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided).
• Good physical fitness for repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting and standing for long periods.
• Clear communication with guests, team members and contractors.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Positive attitude and work ethic; flexible hours including weekends/public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms to high standards, including beds, floors and bathrooms.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details (subject To Change)

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts starting between 8:00am and 9.00am

Hourly Rates (excluding Superannuation)

Monday - Friday: $33.85 per hour
Saturday: $40.62 per hour
Sunday: $47.39 per hour

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
