ManpowerGroup is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join our team at the Prison Complex in Tasmania. The role covers cleaning inmate accommodation, common areas, and administrative zones, with emphasis on hygiene and safety in a correctional environment.

You will follow strict protocols, adhere to rostering requirements, and interact with prisoners in a respectful, professional manner. Prior cleaning experience is preferred, and a National Police Check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and maintaining hygiene standards.
• Ability to follow strict protocols and safety regulations.
• National Police Check required or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain various areas within the Prison Complex, including inmate accommodation areas, common areas, and administrative zones.
• Regular cleaning of sanitary bins in accordance with established protocols.
• Ensure all areas are cleaned to a high standard, adhering to strict hygiene and safety regulations.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Use cleaning materials and equipment efficiently and safely.
• Follow strict rostering and shift requirements.
• Adhere to all security and safety regulations within the prison environment.
• National Police Check (Required).
• Must be comfortable working in a correctional environment and interacting with prisoners.
• Ability to follow strict protocols and regulations.
• Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.
• Reliability and attention to detail.

This role involves cleaning a variety of areas across the complex, including Minimum, Medium, Maximum, Women's, Southern Remand, as well as visitor and administrative areas. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a prison environment and will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas.
