Minor Hotels, Oaks Hervey Bay Resort and Spa, is expanding its housekeeping team with casual opportunities on site. We seek energetic, detail-focused individuals who deliver exceptional guest experiences and adapt to a flexible roster.

Roles involve cleaning guest rooms, adhering to safety protocols, and collaborating with a supportive team for daily targets. Shifts run 8:00am–9:00am starts with rotating Monday to Sunday rosters.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided).
• Good physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms, make beds, vacuum floors, and clean bathrooms to high standards.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within shift hours.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Follow safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Use specialised cleaning equipment safely with training provided.
• Build professional relationships with team, guests, and contractors.

Oaks Hervey Bay Resort and Spa

is excited to expand our housekeeping department, with multiple casual opportunities now available.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details (subject To Change)

• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
• Shifts starting between 8:00am and 9.00am

Hourly Rates (excluding Superannuation)

Monday - Friday: $34.96 per hour

Saturday: $41.96 per hour

Sunday: $48.95 per hour

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
