Job summary

Mercy Health Australia is seeking Casual Cleaners to join our team at Mercy Place Mentone in Melbourne. You will help create safe, welcoming spaces for patients, residents and staff by maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms, common areas and administrative spaces; following infection control protocols; and supporting comfort and well-being across the facility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Empathy toward elderly residents.
• NDIS clearance may be required.

About the opportunity:

We're seeking Casual Cleaners to join our team and help create safe, welcoming spaces where patients, families, and staff feel valued every day.

• You'll play a critical role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facilities.
• Your responsibilities include ensuring a safe and sanitary environment, adhering to infection control protocols, and supporting the overall comfort and well-being of residents, and employees. Performing a variety of cleaning tasks in resident's rooms, common areas, and administrative spaces.

What you'll bring:

You're reliable, resilient and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are genuinely interested in supporting others and making a difference in your community.

• Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles
• Ability to work independently, a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
• A sense of compassion & & empathy towards elderly residents
• Experience working in Aged Care or Health environment (desirable but not essential)

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• NDIS Clearance
