Job summary

Victorian Catholic Education Authority Limited is seeking a dedicated educator to lead learning in the classroom, applying the Science of Learning and Explicit Instruction. You will build strong relationships with students and families, and contribute to a Catholic school culture aligned with MACS 2030 Vision for Instruction and Engagement.

The role requires current VIT registration, accreditation to teach Religious Education or a plan to undertake this study, and a commitment to Child Safety

Job description

• The ability to lead learning in the classroom with an understanding of the Science of Learning and Explicit Instruction e.g. retrieval practices, Daily Review and Checking for Understanding.
• An ability to foster a classroom culture based on consistent predictable routines.
• A collaborative mindset and a commitment to working in a team environment.
• An understanding of the importance of working in partnership with families.
• Knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum 2.0 and the ability to plan and implement engaging learning experiences for all students.
• Proficiency in the use of relevant technology to enhance student learning.
• Commitment to the Catholic ethos and will support the Catholic Identity of the school.
