Job summary

Bonbeach Primary School in Melbourne’s southeast seeks an Education Support class staff member to assist teachers, coordinate aides, and support student wellbeing under supervision.

You will coordinate the work area, assist teachers, and provide health and wellbeing support for students, with duties including communication with parents and collaboration with school staff. Supervision of students may be required as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine support for teachers, including planning student routines.
• Supports communication between teachers and parents.
• Communicates with teachers on routine matters related to students.
• Provides basic physical care and wellbeing support for students.
• Communicates with students to support comprehension of tasks.
• Addresses behavioural presentations aligned to school policy.
• Supports coordination of educational programs and staff rostering.
• Provides medical intervention support under appropriate training.
• Supports specialised communication needs (e.g., AUSLAN, braille).
