Job summary

Eligible candidates should have a genuine passion for working with young children, strong communication, and teamwork. Certificate III in Education Support is highly regarded; Catholic affiliation not required.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for working with young children.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to assist in delivering teaching programs, including technology use.
• Knowledge of preparing learning activities and organizing resources.
• Organisational skills to maintain safety and cleanliness of resources.
• Experience supervising small groups or individual students.
• Certificate III in Education Support highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging learning experiences and using technology.
• Supporting students with individual and small group activities.
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and well-organised classroom environment.
• Contributing to social and emotional wellbeing of students.
• Collaborating with staff to support learning and care needs of young children.
• Preparing learning support activities and organising materials.
• Ensuring resources are clean, safe and properly maintained; arranging repairs or replacements.
• Documenting observation notes and intervention programs.
• Assisting in collation and preparation of classroom materials.
