Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education is seeking a School Officer to support primary teachers at Notre Dame College on the Sunshine Coast. The role focuses on assisting with planning, preparation, and delivery of effective learning programs and using technology to support learning, while contributing to a positive, faith-based school environment.

You'll monitor student progress, provide evidence-based interventions, collaborate with specialists, and help document observations and materials.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in planning, preparing, and delivering effective teaching programs.
• Ability to monitor student progress and apply evidence-based interventions.
• Expertise in supporting diverse learning needs to improve student outcomes.
• Collaborative skills to work with specialists and coordinate intervention groups.
• Proficient in documenting observations, managing intervention programs, and preparing classroom materials.
• Certificate III in Education Support.
• Not required to be Catholic.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students including the use technology and learning support activities.
• Monitoring the progress of students and identifing learning areas to provide evidence-based intervention strategies.
• Improving student learning outcomes by providing support and advice on supporting students with diverse learning needs.
• Collaborating with school specialists in organising and assisting with intervention groups to coordinate services.
• Documenting observation notes, intervention programs and assist in the collation and preparation of classroom materials.
