Job summary

Booker Group plc is seeking a delivery driver to join our local routes network. You will load stock at the branch, drive to customer premises and unload, providing reliable service and building relationships with regular customers.

This role involves manual handling, tallying paperwork, and ensuring on-time deliveries as part of a 7‑day operation with some weekend work.

Qualifications

• Cat C / 18T Licence / Class 2 required for delivery work.
• Previous delivery driving experience is preferred.
• Good literacy and numeracy for paperwork and records.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer‑facing approach.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
• Deliver locally to customers and maintain strong customer relations.
• Support with unloading and handling as required during shifts.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. You will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

This is a 7 day operation, our shift patternsmay include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

Cat C / 18T Licence / Class 2

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
