Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end to end case load of financial lines and liability claims within specified financial authority limits.
• Apply legal principles relevant to both coverage and liability considerations to all financial lines/liability claims and provide technical support to claims handlers when required.
• Ensure claims are handled in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements (including Lloyd's) and that reserves are entered in accordance with the company’s stated reserving philosophy.
• The engagement of and provision of instructions to Coverage and Defence counsel in accordance with Claims Handling Guidelines on both volume and complex claims.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Suggest, recommend and implement process improvement initiatives on reporting, claims systems and claims guidelines.
