Job summary

Allianz Partners in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Medical & Travel Insurance Claims Consultant to join our high-performing Travel Claims team. You will assess travel and medical insurance claims with a customer-first mindset and contribute to improvements in processes and outcomes.

Reporting to the Claims Team Leader, you will work across a broad range of claim categories, ensure compliant decisions, and collaborate with customers and stakeholders to deliver fair, efficient results.

Qualifications

• Previous experience assessing insurance claims, ideally within travel, medical, health, or general insurance.
• Strong ability to interpret policy wording and apply coverage accurately.
• Experience managing complex and high-value claims.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of compliance, governance, and risk requirements.

As part of a collaborative and supportive team, you'll play a key role in assessing travel and medical-related insurance claims, leveraging sound judgement, analytical thinking, and modern claims practices to deliver fair, efficient, and customer‑centric decisions.

About the Role

Reporting to the Claims Team Leader, Travel, you will be responsible for the accurate, fair, and timely assessment of travel insurance claims across a broad range of claim categories, including medical claims. You'll work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless claims experience while maintaining compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.

You'll also contribute to process optimisation, capability development, and operational excellence initiatives that support the ongoing evolution of the claims function.

What You'll Bring Insurance & Claims Expertise

• Previous experience assessing insurance claims, ideally within travel, medical, health, or general insurance
