Job summary

Hannover Re Australia is seeking a skilled Claims Assessor for our Life & Health unit in Sydney. You will assess life insurance claims, ensure alignment with policy terms and regulatory requirements, and collaborate with claims, medical and operations teams to deliver accurate outcomes.

The role requires 3+ years of direct/group life insurance experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with LICOP/RG271. We offer hybrid work arrangements and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' technical knowledge of life insurance or group life insurance.
• Experience applying insurance legislation and regulatory requirements (LICOP, RG271).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools in a regulated environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Manage Group and Retail life insurance claims portfolios across a range of claim types.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Assessor to join our Life & Health Subsidiary in Sydney.

Reporting directly to the Claims Assessment Manager this permanent role will be responsible for ensuring that all claims are promptly assessed in line with the terms and conditions of the relevant insurance contract.

• Managing Group and Retail life insurance claims portfolios across a range of claim types.
