Fyfe in Darwin is seeking a Civil Team Lead to steer the civil engineering group, delivering roads and infrastructure projects while mentoring engineers and collaborating with clients and project teams.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, quality outcomes, safety, and development of staff, with opportunities to contribute to proposals and business growth in the Northern Territory.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
• CPEng status.
• Demonstrated experience in road design and civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience leading and developing civil engineering teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial awareness including proposals, project scopes and client development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex civil engineering designs across road and infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance and quality assurance across civil engineering deliverables.
• Lead design reviews, constructability reviews and technical peer reviews.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules and quality outcomes.
• Develop strong relationships with clients, government agencies, councils, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Contribute to proposals, tendering, client engagement and business development.
• Lead, mentor and develop civil engineers, designers and graduate engineers.
• Build a high-performing, collaborative civil team and promote best-practice engineering.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant standards and requirements.
