Job summary

Fyfe is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its Civil team in Darwin. You will deliver technical civil engineering work across diverse projects, collaborating withFyfe's national multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality, commercially pragmatic solutions.

The role involves producing drawings and designs, coordinating reviews, and ensuring compliance with Australian Standards. You will engage with clients and regulators to support project success.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering.
• RPEQ accreditation or willingness to work towards accreditation is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and technical report writing skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex design requirements.
• Ability to manage competing project priorities and deliver within agreed timeframes and quality standards.
• Proficiency in relevant civil engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Produce civil engineering drawings and designs, including stormwater drainage and erosion control.
• Design crossings for waterways, pipelines, rail and roads.
• Prepare civil construction scopes of work.
• Develop concept, feasibility and detailed design documentation and coordinate relevant reviews and approvals.
• Ensure engineering designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, guides, codes and industry best practice.
• Contribute to project specifications, scopes of work, services reviews and opinions of probable cost.
• Determine construction methods, materials and quality standards.
• Prepare and interpret specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures.
• Undertake site inspections with clients, contractors, councils and regulatory authorities as required.
