Job summary

ACCIONA Energia is seeking a Night Shift Supervisor with a civil background to lead civil and structural construction activities on a Defence infrastructure project in Australia. The role requires coordinating subcontractors, managing plant and materials, and ensuring safety, quality and budget adherence on site.

You will oversee inspections, daily reporting and risk management while promoting a strong safety culture and collaborative teamwork on complex infrastructure works.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Supervisor role across civil and structural scopes on infrastructure or building projects.
• Strong understanding of site-based construction delivery, quality and safety systems.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Team-focused mindset with the ability to drive performance on site.
• Due to Defence security requirements, applicants must be Australian Citizens and eligible to obtain Baseline Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise civil and structural construction activities in line with program, safety, quality & environmental requirements.
• Coordinate subcontractors, plant and materials to ensure efficient site operations.
• Conduct site inspections and maintain daily reporting and records.
• Ensure compliance with Defence standards, specifications and quality systems.
• Act as a safety ambassador on site, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring full compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Monitor progress and assist with planning and sequencing of works.
• Track site activities and costs, ensuring works are delivered in line with the approved budget and identifying any variances.
• Contribute to risk management, issue resolution and continuous improvement on site.

About the Project

This role supports the delivery of critical Defence infrastructure as part of ACCIONA’s expanding Defence portfolio. The project plays a key role in strengthening Australia’s Defence capability and is delivered in a highly regulated environment with strict quality, safety and compliance standards.
