Job summary

Future Generation Joint Venture is seeking a Site Operations Leader to plan, organise, and control site activities in alignment with the construction programme. You will ensure safety, cost, time, quality, environmental and community targets are met on Snowy 2.0 in NSW.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in construction, strong leadership of teams and subcontractors, and a proven ability to manage complex concrete and tunnel-related works in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction in a similar role.
• Experience on large scale concrete construction projects or similar works.
• Experience managing a team including subcontractors and self-perform crews.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand drawings, programs, specs, and sequences of work for the scope.
• Supervise work and provide clear instructions to minimise rework.
• Review drawings for constructability and propose improvements with the Superintendent/Construction Manager.
• Assist in developing and monitoring short-term program (3 week look ahead).
• Monitor risks/delays on critical path and escalate to management.
• Track progress against short-term program and optimise to meet targets.
• Ensure effective shift handovers and develop an 'One Team' culture.
• Mentor Apprentices and Trainees per learning outcomes.
• Manage day-to-day performance and coaching of employees.
• Resolve IR/ER issues and escalate as needed.
• Ensure subcontractors have supervision and resources to complete work on time.
