Job summary

City of Moreton Bay is hiring a Labourer to support the Roads and Drains team in maintaining civil and transport infrastructure. You will work under a Crew Leader to keep designated areas safe, tidy and fit for purpose, assisting with planned and reactive maintenance across roads and drainage networks.

The role requires experience in labouring on civil infrastructure, strong safety awareness, and teamwork. A MR truck licence and Construction Induction Card are preferred or required before

Qualifications

• Experience performing labouring tasks related to maintaining or constructing infrastructure similar to listed duties.
• Ability to work safely with physical tasks and operate as part of a crew.
• A current truck licence MR (Medium Rigid) is preferred; Construction Induction Card required.

Responsibilities

• Pathway and footpath repairs and replacements, including concrete areas.
• Kerb and channel repairs, including lintels and stormwater grates.
• Replacing and maintaining manholes, covers, pits and catch pits.
• Stormwater network maintenance, including pipes, headwalls and open drains.
• Clearing and maintaining open drains and drainage infrastructure.
• Installing, repairing and replacing road signs.
• Repairing traffic islands and associated defects.
