Job summary

Newlands is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead pipeline and civil infrastructure projects across water, sewer and rising main networks in Queensland. You will report to the Civil Construction Manager and oversee project planning, delivery and handover from inception to handover, ensuring safety, time, budget and quality targets are met.

The role requires a Civil Engineering background, strong project delivery skills and a proven ability to lead teams while managing stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• Proven experience delivering civil infrastructure projects, including pipelines, water and sewer works.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methodologies and project delivery.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead, manage and mentor site teams.
• Commercial and contractual management experience.
• White Card (General Construction Induction) and a valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, delivery and handover of civil infrastructure projects.
• Develop scopes, schedules and implementation plans to ensure successful outcomes.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts and costs to meet financial targets.
• Lead site supervision teams and foster a high-performance culture.
• Monitor progress, manage risks and provide timely milestone reporting.
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Drive safety, environmental and quality outcomes across projects.
