Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Project Engineer – Civil for its Australian operations, part of a joint venture with Cobra. The role involves managing large-scale civil works, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence on site.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, have experience with Tier 1 contractors on major projects, and be proficient in project controls and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Tier 1 contractor experience on large scale projects including foundations, piling, bulk earthworks.
• Experience constructing outdoor air insulated substations and 220kV+ substations preferred.
• Experience on mega-construction projects; knowledge of client/contractor workflows.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with project personnel and external stakeholders to maintain a collaborative environment.
• Monitor progress, and track financial performance vs. budget and targets.
• Attend pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and construction meetings.
• Conduct site walks to monitor progression of works and resolve issues.
• Prepare plant schedules and assist procurement to ensure timely delivery of equipment.
