Job summary

AWX is partnering with a civil construction company delivering specialist construction, engineering and geotechnical services in far north Queensland near Forsayth. We are seeking experienced operators for the following equipment: 30-tonne excavator, 3-tonne skid steer, 12-tonne loader and all-round civil plant operator roles on a three-week project with 12-hour shifts and DIDO from Cairns.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction or bulk earthworks.
• Minimum two years excavator experience for Excavator Operator positions.
• Current C Class Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts for the project duration.
• Physically fit for outdoor, hands-on work.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, loaders, skid steers and other civil plant
• Complete bulk earthworks, site preparation and laydown works
• Assist with civil drainage and dam construction activities
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and equipment checks
• Follow all site safety procedures and operational requirements
• Work effectively as part of a safety-focused project team

About our client

AWX is partnering with an established, solutions-driven civil construction company delivering specialist construction, engineering and geotechnical services . Our client provides comprehensive project support from concept and design through to construction . Their experienced team is committed to delivering safe, high-quality, cost-effective projects on time. The project is located near Forsayth in the Etheridge Shire , approximately 400 kilometres southwest of Cairns in Queensland's Gulf Savannah region.

Available Roles

We are seeking experienced operators for the following equipment:

• 30-tonne Excavator
• 3-tonne Skid Steer
• 12-tonne Loader
• All-Round Civil Plant Operator

Roster

• Three-week project with the 13th day off, 12-hour shifts
• Immediate start on a short-term dam project
• DIDO from Cairns to the Forsayth region
• Paid travel time and fuel allowance
• Camp accommodation and meals provided

What you'll do

• Relevant RII competencies and plant tickets
• Demonstrated civil construction or bulk earthworks experience
• A minimum of two years' consistent excavator experience for Excavator Operator positions
• Current C Class Driver's Licence and reliable transport
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts for the project duration
• Physically fit and prepared for outdoor, hands-on work
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
